Front of House / Bar Manager

Location: Dive Bar & Grille

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $10–$13/hour + tips

Position Overview: Dive Bar & Grille is seeking a hands-on, energetic Front of House / Bar Manager to lead daily service operations while actively working on the floor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering a great guest experience. You’ll be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, managing the bar program, supporting staff, and ensuring every guest has a consistent, welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Service
  • Lead all front-of-house and bar operations during shifts
  • Actively work the floor (serving, bartending, hosting as needed)
  • Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization
  • Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Bar Management
  • Oversee bar operations, including cocktail execution and service standards
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and product levels
  • Ensure proper liquor handling and compliance with all alcohol regulations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar areas
Staff Leadership
  • Supervise, coach, and support front-of-house and bar staff
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Create a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment
  • Lead by example during high-volume service periods
Scheduling & Performance
  • Assist with staff scheduling to meet business needs
  • Monitor labor efficiency and productivity during shifts
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching
Sales & Guest Experience
  • Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and events
  • Build relationships with regular guests and enhance customer loyalty
  • Ensure a fun, engaging atmosphere consistent with the Dive Bar & Grille brand
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of restaurant and/or bar leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, and service standards
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
